Volunteerism
Become an Oxford Museum VOLUNTEER
The Museum is proud to be a non-profit organization run 100% by Volunteers. And we’re always looking for new volunteers to help us grow! Join us and contribute in the capacity that suits your time and interest.
Here are some of the things that our volunteers do . . .
- Serve on the Museum’s committees: Exhibits, Curatorial, Events or Publications.
- Help with large outreach mailings and other administrative tasks.
- Help with set-up and take-down for exhibits and special events.
- Research and write articles for our museum newsletter and other publications.
- Contribute to the Museum’s research on Oxford, ‘special collections’ development, and archiving efforts – including book publishing and transcribing the Museum’s large collection of oral history audiotapes
- Help plan, and execute special events and programs, fund and friendraisers.
- Enjoy the annual holiday party celebrating Oxford Museum Volunteers!
AND THERE IS SO MUCH MORE – OPPORTUNITIES ABOUND! Become a part of this friendly group of volunteers who love the town of Oxford, its rich history and The Oxford Museum.
